Failure

Your unwanted best friend. It's there during most of anything you attempt - and can show it's face at the most inconvenient of times.
.
The real problem with failure is that we aren't normally taught to embrace it. But I'd like to change perspective on that and show that failure is a potential occurrence. It happens with life and everything in it. I would rather say I tried and failed to make the Olympic Team than never know if I could or not. Why not go for your untapped potential?
.
Failure defines you as a person - more how you react and handle it. Failure is sometimes crushing and will absolutely break your spirit if you let it but that doesn't mean you have to allow it to be a negative thing. So what if you couldn't hit your best numbers for PR on a lift day, or if your team lost in competition recently - Learn from it! Why were you not at 100% to lift, why did your team not work together. Focus on the positive why's, don't go into the negative and pointing blame. Find the easiest things to fix and focus there first.
.
The most important lesson any individual can learn from failure is how to grow. In basketball and football you can see where teams pass better than you and play defense a little tighter, try to focus on what you can control and talk to your teammates. Sometimes It's just as simple as getting on the same wavelength and your play with them will be much better. I play team sports with my close friends of 10+ years and we are unstoppable in any sports. The synergy and focus is unreal because we are all dedicated athletes and we can just work together regardless of not actually being on a team together. Our 7on7 Squad is Savage.
.
Failure taught me everything I needed to know as a person. I learn to embrace and accept it as a learning tool that you can grow from. Don't be afraid to fail because there will come a time that you will not fail. Life - like most sports, is about the ability to transition smoothly and effortlessly through positions and solve problems while you score points in various ways. You won't find the most efficient ways to solve those problems without attempts, and attempts lead to failure.
.
But failure leads to success.
The real Key to Success
